Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Benefits Manager, the person in this role supports the overall benefits function to ensure efficient administration and facilitates strong cross-functional collaboration between the benefits business function, the Management Information Systems (MIS) group and other internal vendors to help ensure data sharing, technical troubleshooting and reporting needs are effectively met.The person is well versed in Workday Benefits and has experience working with business users and technical teams to find solutions. This role also provides general customer service to employees to ensure timely and accurate resolution of a variety of employee and vendor related questions, and overall efficient plan administration.

Job Details:
Benefits Specialist
Work-from-home
9pm to 6am | Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer-oriented and responsive service to internal HR partners and team members to address a wide variety of benefits related questions including but not limited to plan design, eligibility, and claims-related issues.
- Process benefits invoices and work closely with AP on tracking, auditing, and PO creation to make sure all benefits invoices are processed and paid on time.
- In close partnership with the technical team, help with end user testing efforts and documentation of Workday benefits users to support rollout of new system configuration and changes
- Identify, monitor and document a wide variety of Workday benefits configuration and set-up issues that require resolution in collaboration with internal and external technical partners.
- Provide guidance and support to internal users on Workday end user functionality.
- Work closely with Workday administrative users to understand technical related or systems performance issues and serves as a liaison to the MIS team on a plan to drive resolution.
- Ensure all system-related benefit changes and configurations are fully vetted with key internal stakeholders and put through appropriate approval channels before implementation.
- Monitor weekly data/file feeds to ensure successful transmission and timely resolution of errors and review error reports to ensure vendor integrations run effectively and document issues in processes in line with SOX compliance.
- Collaborate closely with payroll team to address and resolve team member inquiries related to benefit deductions and payments.
- Run various reports to identify any benefits-related data integrity issues that require clean-up or resolution.
- With support from MIS, develop workday reports by gathering needs of the benefits team and internal customers
- Support reporting needs of the benefits team and internal customers by gathering requirements and developing workday reports independently or with support from MIS for more complex data needs.
- Assist with research related to compliance testing and filing for 401K and FSAs.
- Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee and/or financial information at all times
- Proactively identify areas of opportunity within benefits processes
- Ad hoc requests and special projects, as assigned
- Other benefits-related duties, as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior experience with employee benefit administration required.
- Prior experience with Workday Benefits including set-up, troubleshooting and reporting required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a variety of internal customers.
- Expert analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to combine and manipulate large data sets required, as well as the ability to utilize MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Collaborative team player.
- Familiarity with pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125.
