Right now we are looking for Data Engineer to fill the following positions:

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture.

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimising data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.

• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, ETL Tools and AWS ‘big data’ technologies.

• Build analytics tools that utilise the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer behaviour, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.

• Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.

• Create data tools for analytics and data analyst team members that assist them in building and optimising our product into an innovative industry leader.

• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

Skills and Qualification:

• At least 5 years’ experience building data solutions across RDBMS, Big Data (Hadoop/Spark) platforms. (Mandatory)

• At least 5 years’ experience on building data pipelines/ETL mappings using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS Data Integration. (Mandatory)

• Knowledge of EDW data modelling (i.e., Dimensional/Star schema, Inmom/Normalised, Data Vault 2.0) and historical merge techniques. (Mandatory)

• Advanced SQL knowledge including proficiency on ordered analytical functions and stored proc development. (Mandatory)

• Experience providing break-fix support on productionised data applications.

• Understanding of ERP and CRM applications (i.e., SAP, Salesforce).

• Exposure to cloud services (AWS S3, IAM, Glue, EC2, Lambda; Azure Blob Storage, Functions) and how they fit in a data application.

• Experience building and optimising data solutions on MPP/Columnar RDBMS platforms (i.e., Snowflake, Teradata, Synapse).

• Experience on modern deployment practices (CI/CD, git-based version control).

• Exposure to automation technologies (Control-M, Autosys, Airflow).

• Python/Scala data application development experience.

• BI Reporting/Visualisation development/support experience.

• AWS/Azure/GCP Cloud certification.

• Windows/UNIX shell scripting and Windows admin.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/Mathematics/Engineering.
