Job Description

At SGV & Co., we enable solutions across different industries and sectors. Our teams work in small groups with a flat structure to deliver solutions in an agile fashion. Managers and associates alike get the opportunity to take ownership of projects and sub-projects, giving you the room to grow and exercise creativity and resourcefulness.

General

• Keeping up-to-date on the latest thought leadership on a broad range of business innovation and emerging technologies
• Helping our clients plan and deliver organization-wide transformation programs
• Participating in client discussions, designing and creating proposals, RFPs, and responses
• Business transformation and business design, including:
• 1. Target State Strategy, Target Operating Model, Business Architecture, Organization Design, Product Design and Management
• 2. Process Improvement, Automation, Optimization
• 3. Change management, Program management & delivery
• 4. User Acceptance Testing, Client Management, Multiple stakeholder management
• 5. Partner Ecosystems/Platform development, Client system/data integration
• 6. Data Analytics: Data Management, Data Visualization, Data Science

Sector-specific

As majority of our clients are financial institutions or government and public sector entities, the following are among the responsibilities of most of our team members:

In servicing Banking and Financial Institutions

• Working across financial institutions to address business strategy or operational challenges with our clients
• Advising our clients on matters linked to new regulation related to digital banks and other similar institutions, especially with regard to tech architecture and standards
• Assisting our clients to develop adequate structures and frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance of financial services

In servicing the Government and Public Sector

• Assisting national government agencies and local government units in designing and implementing digital solutions to support operations
• Understanding government systems and performing assessments, gap analyses, and future target state design
• Assisting in the formulation of policy and operational frameworks in a digital context
• Enabling government digital transformation programs, from design, to implementation, to change management

Credentials and Qualifications

We welcome applicants from academic fields such as business administration, accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or applied math who have passion, interest, and experience in design thinking and business transformation.

We are looking for individuals who are able to demonstrate most of the following:

• Ability to perform data analysis using one or more of: Excel, Python, R, PowerBI, Tableau
• English proficiency in writing, with ability to draft documentation such as business plans, reports, and training materials
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with an ability to present robust, evidence-based solutions to clients succinctly and creatively
• Excellent innovation, problem-solving and structured thinking skills, able to generate insight and committed to delivering high-quality solutions
• Possess an analytical and logical mindset, with an aptitude for identifying and articulating the reasoning behind your recommendations
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and business functions
• Ability to build effective, long-lasting relationships with clients
• (for Experienced hires) Experience in delivering business transformation and business design programs, change management, strategy & complex program delivery, stakeholder management, or user acceptance testing

Given that the majority of our clients are financial institutions or government and public sector entities, sector or domain knowledge and experience in any of the following is a plus:

Banking and Financial Institutions

• Investment/commercial banking, small business banking, insurance, lending, or other financial institutions
• Core banking products such as commercial credit, loan origination, payments, treasury, cash management, and financing
• Risk management, including credit, market, and operational risk
• Insurance underwriting or actuarial functions
• Regulatory compliance

Government and Public Sector

• Public Financial Management (PFM), on a national or local level
• Taxation, registration, and other statutory requirements
• Government procurement processes
• Development finance
