Job Description - Head of Operations

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in logistics or supply chain management, possess software knowledge, and demonstrate strong business acumen. This role involves overseeing all aspects of operations, including sales components, and requires excellent communication skills to effectively manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership:
    • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operations team.
    • Set clear objectives and goals for the department and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance and productivity.
  2. Operations Management:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
    • Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to optimize operations and improve efficiency.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Supply Chain Management:
    • Manage the supply chain process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
    • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and ensure quality standards are met.
  4. Software Knowledge:
    • Utilize software systems and tools to streamline operations and improve productivity.
    • Stay updated on industry-leading software solutions and recommend upgrades or changes as needed.
  5. Sales Component:
    • Drive sales initiatives and strategies to achieve revenue targets.
    • Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
  6. Business Development:
    • Identify new business opportunities and potential markets for expansion.
    • Develop and implement strategies to grow the business and increase market share.
  7. Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
    • Foster a collaborative and transparent work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Strong software knowledge and proficiency in relevant tools and systems.
  • Experience in sales or business development is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving performance and achieving goals.
