Nordic Semiconductor is currently looking to fill 5 IT Operations Specialist positions in Manila, Philippines. As part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to both local and global infrastructure projects. Your key responsibilities as an IT Operations Specialist at Nordic Semiconductor include ensuring the smooth functioning of our IT systems and delivering exceptional support to our users.

Key responsibilities

As an IT Operations Specialist at Nordic Semiconductor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our IT systems and delivering exceptional support to our users. Responsibilities will also include:

• Acting on events from our monitoring system and executing event management
• Providing first-line support for our users around the globe
• Continuously monitoring and following up on all open cases, liaising with users for updates, coordinating with the second-line support team, and identifying and prioritizing high-impact issues.
• Identifying opportunities for automationparticipating in integrating automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
• Identifying support tickets that require better documentation and can potentially be resolved through self-service, leading to improved knowledge base content.
• Recognizing tickets that can benefit from a "shift left" approach, ensuring problems are addressed at the earliest possible stage of the support process.
• Reporting on KPIs for the IT Ops department.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
• Strong understanding of monitoring systems and service management tools.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Linux, virtualization environments, and SQL.
• Interested in automation and implementing automated solutions.
• Familiarity with shift-left methodologies and self-service support.
• Strong written and verbal skills in English
