Job Description - Operational Accounting and Accounts Receivable Administrator

Operational Accounting

  • Undertake the finance support function for Operations (e.g. financial adjustments / credit card decline / refunds) and ensure updates in RCI’s transaction systems such as EVS & DBL are complete and accurate;
  • Manage and monitor assigned tasks in the Pearl workflow system to ensure all items resolved within defined SLA;
  • Generate Pearl report for completed requests by Travel Guides on regular basis;
  • Perform testing activities in support of business initiatives such as, but no limited to, new system implementation and/or changes, new product launches, and the like;
  • Liaise with Operations teams in Clark & regional locations as required.

Credit Card & Banking Collections

  • Maintenance of daily/weekly credit card & banking spreadsheets and ensure that collections are being reconciled and recorded on a timely basis;
  • Responsible for processing manual refunds;
  • Responsible for monitoring of credit card decline transactions and liaise with respective functions for re-collection efforts;
  • Prepare bank, merchant credit card, and other balance sheet reconciliations for designated accounts;
  • Generate daily reports for use in daily/weekly credit card and banking spreadsheets.

Accounts Receivable

  • Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day processes and monthly close activities & review within required timelines covering the Accounts Receivable module in Oracle;
  • Manage the Accounts Receivable email boxes and all correspondences from/to affiliates and other B2B customers/partners;
  • Liaise with Management Accounting, Resort Operations and Business Development teams on invoice issuance, billing reconciliation and closely monitor ageing and manage collection;
  • Send reminders to customers regarding outstanding accounts, statements and dunning correspondence;
  • Liaise with customers regarding discrepancies and short payments;
  • Refer any disputed amounts or queries from customers to the Management Accountant; 
  • Responsible for processing collections received from Affiliates and other B2B customers/partners in the Accounts Receivable module in Oracle;
  • Perform Oracle Accounts Receivable module month-end close procedures.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley processes and controls;
  • Complete mandatory Corporate Compliance courses within stipulated timelines.

Other

  • Other administrative tasks and support;
  • Participate in regional projects as required which may include system testing and data validation;
  • Other tasks or projects as required and/or directed.

WORKING EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, with minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and exposure to enterprise financial systems such as Oracle or SAP advantageous;
  • Experience in handling banking & reconciliations of credit card transactions advantageous;
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively handling high volume of transactions;
  • Able to investigate and problem solve discrepancies/anomalies;    
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and able to effectively liaise with internal customers;
  • Displays initiative and a positive attitude that would contribute to a harmonious team working environment.
