About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Operations Associate Manager. This job is responsible for activities that support the operational infrastructure, performance, and efficiency.


In this role, you will:

  • Supervise a team of Operation Specialists responsible for moderately complex transactional and operational tasks such as processing servicing related tasks, identifying problems, improving service levels and develop metric to measure growth and performance
  • Ensure timely completion, quality and compliance within the operation area
  • Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalates issues to senior management
  • Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
  • Make daily supervisory decisions and resolve moderately complex business issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operational tasks under direction of Operations management
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Operations, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
  • Leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Banking 
  • Minimum of 7 years people / leadership management experience with minimum of 1:7 span in Banking Operations, preferably in Commercial Banking segment (Commercial Lending Operations)
  • Relevant experience in handling more than 2 products / processes in the Commercial Lending Lifecycle - Deal Closing / Booking & Funding, Cash Application & Management, Invoicing, Customer Servicing, etc.
  • Excellent English comprehension and written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proven management skills with ability to analyze issues or customer complaints and provide solutions in a tactful manner
  • Able to work independently and provide support on flexible hours/working days
  • Demonstrated leadership and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong Risk Management mindset and understanding of compliance
  • Strong Organizations skills - detail oriented, proactive, constructive and capable to motivate teamwork
  • Transition/Process migration experience in a shared service environment
  • Able to perform work and report on PH public holidays if falling on Mondays to Fridays including Christmas and New Year's Eve
  • Amenable to work on US shift: 9PM to 6AM
  • Flexibility to stretch to accomplish projects timely
  • Wiling to work full-time onsite
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA is an advantage

Job Expectations:

  • Manage and develop one or more specialized operations functional teams within Operations area with low to complex risk 
  • Develop strategies to improve staffing processes, ensure specialized functions meet regulatory guidelines in support of risk management and compliance
  • Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated within the Operations area
  • Work independently on moderately complex issues and projects
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development and escalate issues to more experienced management
  • Provide training, performance, evaluation and coaching of less experienced team
  • Make decisions and resolve issues regarding resources, objectives and operations of functional area and team to meet business objectives
  • Interpret and develop policies and procedures for operation functions with low to moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
  • Provide responsibility for budget and financial performance
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Operations
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
