Job Description - Project Engineer

We are hunting for a new Senior Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join our expanding team. Our Engineers work together to deliver projects to our customers, which mostly involve HP and Dell Servers and SANs, VMware, Cisco routing and switching, Citrix, AWS, Microsoft (AD, SCCM, Exchange, SQL server, Azure, O'365 etc). The work is extremely varied and allows for our Engineers to get exposure to new and complex solutions every day.

Duties

The role consists of some or all of the following activities:

  • Technical research and proof-of-concepts, definition and scoping of technical project plans
  • Installation and configuration of Wintel server and storage solutions
  • Configuration of Cisco routing and switching hardware for small and medium businesses (Cisco 19xx-37xx, ASA, Meraki, MPLS, etc)
  • Diagnosis of faults with production systems, research and implement solutions and resolution of escalated problems from service desk
  • Diagnosis and resolution of WAN / ISP faults.
  • Solve complex technical problems across a wide variety of technologies
  • Identify recurring problems internally and externally and advise on and/or implement scalable solutions
  • Provide support across a variety of public cloud platforms including Office 365, Azure and AWS
  • Install, configure and test client systems including line of business applications, security, networking, servers and workstations.
  • Work with highly experienced Engineers and Technical Account Managers to deliver best in class technical solutions
  • Support and mentor Service Desk team members
  • Research and stay up to date with current and emerging infrastructure/network/cloud technologies in the marketplace via partner events, online webinars plus formal and on the job training
  • Keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies in connection with Microsoft Office 365

Requirements

To perform this role, we are seeking a senior engineer with most of the following experience. To be successful in this role we don't need all of the below, but we're looking for smart people, with the right attitude, who will fit in to our awesome team.

  • To be able to prove experience as a Level 4 or above
  • Experience working with VMWare, Xen, or Hyper-V
  • Experience with Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, Infrastructure Virtualisation, Office 365, routing and switching, scripting (VB/Powershell)
  • A strong knowledge of technical infrastructure from desktop to firewall.
  • Supporting, managing and maintaining Microsoft Azure - Azure AD Connect, Azure AD & Azure IAM
  • Expertise in Powershell (MS Online, Exchange Online & Skype Online)
  • Exposure to Skype for Business Online, Teams and Teams Calling
  • Security and policy management experience
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Intune MDM and Autopilot deployments, Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Excellent complex-problem diagnosis technique
  • Calm under pressure, and not afraid to escalate or consult when unsure of a solution
  • Experience with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems, Automate (LabTech), and/or Solarwinds Orion.
  • Experience working in a managed services, outsourcing or professional services environment.
  • Willing to work from home and in Ortigas, Pasig City Office
