Job Description

Summary of Role/Position

The successful candidate will be part of the team that is responsible for improving and maintaining the infrastructure of CarParts.com and its presence.

YOU WILL :

• Install and configure Microsoft SQL Server Databases
• Manage and maintain on-premise and cloud-based MS SQL Server instances
• Implement Clustering, High Availability and Disaster Recovery
• Design and develop structures as business requires
• Optimize performance of databases
• Assess, test and upgrade MS SQL Server instances to latest versions
• Monitor the health of MS SQL Server instances
• Troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Coordinate with Teams across different time zones.
• Create automation scripts/jobs to manage MS SQL Server databases and processes
• Provide minor Microsoft windows installation/deployments related to the system the database covers

YOU MUST HAVE :

• At least 5 years of solid experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server Databases
• Advance experience in database optimization and performance monitoring.
• Advanced knowledge on database security, backup and recovery
• Strong knowledge in T-SQL
• Experience with Windows Server environments
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Open to work shifts catering to US day time
• Database Administration background using MySQL/MongoDB/Elasticsearch is a plus
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent Computer Science or related industry experience
