Software Engineer I

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 0 - 2 years of technical expertise in scripting/ programming.
• Display aptitude in learning new modules based on training materials.
• Awareness of IT Service Management process such as Incident, Problem and Change Management
• Should have basic scripting/ programming knowledge.
• Knowledge of Agile sprint method will be a plus.
• Strong analytical /problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills with collaboration skills. Comfortable working with geographically dispersed offshore and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive attitude, willing to take up challenges to learn new technologies, systems, and processes.
• Exposure to scripting/ programming in any ITSM tools will be a plus.
• Readiness to acquire proficiency in the low-code development capabilities of ServiceNow or similar platforms.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Understand operation business needs and translate into technical requirement.
• Responsible for the development of workflows and applications within the ServiceNow platform, which support the streamlining and automation of business processes.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining integrations between the ServiceNow platform and external systems.
• Support post implementation tasks including, troubleshooting, administration, patching and upgrades.
• Successfully delivering project stories involves actively participating in development processes, meeting deadlines, promptly addressing issues, implementing structured approaches, and collaborating with peers for progress.
• Coordinate data transfer from SNOW to ServiceNow, managing software license integration, maintaining software models, developing SAM dashboards, and collaborating with SNOW Service Owners to meet data and functionality needs.
• Maintain and expand the Software Catalog, transition the base catalog within ServiceNow, and integrating software workflows with ITSM functions for improved efficiency.
• Commit to the continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools, and technology.
• Stay ahead by actively maintaining up to date ServiceNow skills.
• Effectively engage and contribute to projects.
• All other duties as assigned.
