System Administrator

We are seeking a talented and experienced System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in IT operations, with a focus on system administration, security, and risk management. As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization's IT infrastructure.

• Manage and maintain the organization's servers, operating systems, and network infrastructure.
• Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's systems and data from cyber threats, viruses, and unauthorized access.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and solutions to meet business needs.
• Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of system upgrades and enhancements.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for reference and training purposes.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in system administration and cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience working in an IT department, with a focus on system administration and security.
• Proven experience in Linux server administration.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Experience with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) are a plus.
