As an Estimating Assistant , you will be responsible for conducting 2D quantity take-offs of landscape and engineering plans, as well as detailed section drawings, utilizing software such as PlanSwift or Bluebeam. You will receive consistent guidance on structuring and templating advice for measurements such as distance below footpaths, subgrades, and other specifications. Additionally, your role will involve the crucial task of updating and maintaining databases containing material costs, labor rates, and other pertinent pricing information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project estimations.

Shift: Day Shift, Mon - Fri 06:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Work Setup: Permanent WFH

Blueprint for Success: Your Role

• 2D quantity take-offs of landscape/engineering plans and detailed/section drawings using PlanSwift or Bluebeam (we will give them a consistent structure / template of advice to follow for how far below footpath, subgrade, etc.)
  
• Update and maintain databases of material costs, labor rates, and other relevant pricing information.
  
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements and identify discrepancies between drawings and specifications.
  

Requirements

Nailing It: Skills That Cement Your Position

• Engineering/construction background is an asset but not required.
  
• Ability to do quantity take-offs using PlanSwift and possibly AutoCAD/Bluebeam.
  
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
