Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Execution (Project Management) - Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives in the construction department. Lead the execution of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and efficiency in construction operations.
2. Team Leadership and Management - Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of construction professionals, including project managers, engineers, and field staff. Provide guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members to foster professional growth and development. Promote a collaboration, accountability, and excellence culture within the construction department.
3. Client Engagement and Relationship Management - Serve as clients' primary point of contact, building strong relationships based on trust, communication, and transparency. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, expectations, and objectives and ensure these are effectively communicated and met throughout the project lifecycle. Proactively address client concerns, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for additional business development.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance - Establish and enforce quality control standards to ensure construction activities meet or exceed industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess the quality and safety of construction work and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, permits, and contractual obligations.
5. Budget and Financial Management - Develop project budgets and forecasts with the finance department, monitoring expenditures and variances throughout the project lifecycle. Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering initiatives to optimize project profitability without compromising quality or safety. Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred.
2. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
3. Minimum of 15-20 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a demonstrated track record of successfully leading large-scale projects.
4. Strong leadership abilities with proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
6. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, techniques, and best practices.
7. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).
8. Ability to analyze complex problems, develop innovative solutions, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
