Project and Program Consultant

Job Purpose:

• Will engage with diverse project teams globally collaborating within a dynamic and expanding Project Management Team. They will contribute to the formulation and execution of the overarching 4D Planning business strategy.
• Develop and implement 4D project schedules, utilizing tools like Navisworks and/or Synchro Pro for comprehensive project visualization.
• Lead Planner or supervising Planner role on a project or program of works
• Working on single projects or programmes as part of PMO
• Where required manage/oversee multiple projects to ensure successful outcomes
• Where required, manage small team on behalf of Team Leader
• They are responsible for delivering their scope of work in line with budgetary, compliance, regulatory and planning controls, and will possess deep technical knowledge and broad business experience.

Key Accountabilities:

• Provide expertise and guidance on 3D modeling techniques, integrate 3D models into project schedules to create dynamic and interactive project timelines.
• Collaborate with the team to establish processes, protocols, and standards for 4D implementation.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation detailing 4D planning tasks, outputs, roles, and responsibilities.
• Partner with design and delivery teams to develop standards for work, resource, and location breakdown structures. To define data modeling specifications and align metadata with these specifications.
• Aid in the application of work, resource, and location breakdown structures to existing models and programs as necessary for supporting the 4D process.
• Utilize Navisworks and/or Synchro 4D Pro to allocate geometry to the schedule, analyze findings, and communicate results to project teams, proactively assessing project risks to improve project efficiency.
• Act as a subject matter expert, facilitating the use of 4D Planning models within teams, promoting its adoption across the organization, and providing mentorship and guidance to junior planners to foster a culture of continuous improvement in adopting 4D planning best practices.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Can build master programmes from scratch, including logic links and adding any necessary resource and cost loading.
• Able to monitor project progress and advise on how to mitigate delay. Can undertake forensic delay analysis.
• Experience with preparing Design Programme and Construction Programme
• Good experience with preparing weekly or monthly progress reports, including s-curves and earned value analysis.
• Responsible for performance management of project team / resource
• Ideally possess proficiency in data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Advance proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project and Primavera 6).
• Advance Proficiency in 3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp with understanding of BIM concepts and their integration with 4D planning processes.
• Advance proficiency in 4D planning software, with a strong emphasis on Navisworks and/or Synchro Pro.
• Potentially have experience using programme analysis tools (e.g. XER Toolkit, Acumen Fuse or similar)

Key Qualifications:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to foresee potential project risks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project managers and cross-functional teams.
• Proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to drive positive change and challenge the status quo.
• BSc Eng, Project Management, Construction Management or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• At least 8 years of proven experience as a Planner with a focus on challenging project assumptions, professional experience in consultancy or contracting.
