Tasks
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Benefit Plan Audit Mastery:
- Led and executed audits of Employee Benefit Plans with a specific emphasis on 401K plans.
- Apply your indepth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans tailored to Employee Benefit Plans.
Audit Management Excellence:
- Oversee and manage the entire audit process from planning to reporting ensuring efficiency and adherence to timelines.
- Actively manage budgets and engagement realization.
- Direct and mentor audit teams fostering a collaborative and growthoriented environment.
- Review and evaluate audit documentation providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Review financial statements of benefit plans prepared in accordance with US GAAP.
Client Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to clients promoting transparency and understanding.
- Proactively track outstanding documentation and follow up with clients to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
Regulatory Compliance and Continuous Learning:
- Stay abreast of evolving regulations and changes in accounting standards related to Employee Benefit Plans.
- Provide insights on emerging trends and best practices in the Employee Benefit Plans audit landscape.
- Actively engage in professional development and continuous learning to enhance audit expertise.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant CPA / ACCA
- 7 10 years experience in external audit
- 100 hours on US EBP engagements in the last 12 months
- Managed at least 5 US EBP plans in the last 12 months
- Proven experience in audit management with a focus on Employee Benefit Plans specifically 401K auditing.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to Employee Benefit Plan audits.
- Exceptional analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
