Cost Estimator Officer ZRJOB

Job Overview: Were looking for a Cost Estimator that will play a critical role in assessing project costs and timelines to support accurate bidding and project planning. This position requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers engineers and clients. Your primary responsibilities will involve analyzing project requirements gathering data and utilizing estimating software to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Additionally you will contribute to the development of project proposals and provide insights to optimize project budgets and schedules. Job Description:

• Review construction project plans and specifications to identify materials quantities and scope of work required.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs (quantity surveys) from project drawings and specifications.
• Utilize estimating software and tools to calculate quantities and prepare accurate cost estimates for labor materials equipment and subcontractors.
• Prepare detailed quotes and proposals based on project requirements and supplier pricing.
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and subcontractors to refine project scopes and address costrelated inquiries.
• Evaluate and compare supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and quality of materials and services.
• Maintain organized records of takeoffs quotes and project documentation.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure clarity and accuracy in quote preparation and submission.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  
• Preferably 13 years estimating experience
  
• Proven experience as a cost estimator specializing in plan takeoffs and quote preparation preferably in the construction industry.
  
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
  
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  
• Experience using estimating software and tools for material takeoffs and cost calculations.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with project teams suppliers and clients.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Knowledge of construction materials methods and industry standards.
