Salesforce Technical Consultant

Role Description

The Technical Consultant/Software Engineer is responsible for driving the successful design and technical implementation of fit-for-purpose SFDC solutions for our clients in accordance with the VISEO Delivery Methodology (CDM) and its standards and practices. The Technical Consultant/Software Engineer possesses a strong development background combined with an understanding of and practical solution delivery experience with the Salesforce platform.

The primary responsibilities include specifying and verifying the needs of the project stakeholders and end users, and being able to design, manage, and execute the requirements on the Salesforce Platform.

Duties and Responsibilities

·Developing a thorough understanding of the client's requirements by participating in stakeholder workshops, developing functional and technical specifications, reporting and data requirements and then applying industry best practices and detailed knowledge of the software to design an optimal solution that supports the business process and meets or exceeds functional requirements.

·Liaising with clients throughout a project to maintain and develop the business relationship, ensure satisfaction with services provided, and identify opportunities for further growth.

·Implementing solution functionality by designing and building features using a combination of configuration, custom development (Apex / Lightning) and integration tooling.

·End to end development - analysing, coding, testing and automation of the testing, debugging deployment, and operational monitoring.

·Contributing to the specification and maintenance of software requirements.

·Tech support, troubleshooting, programming research and the development of tools that are responsive to the clients' needs.

·Actively supporting and providing technical support to the functional team during the construction of the solution.

·Collaborating with colleagues in sales, customer support and marketing in order to translate business needs into effective tools within Salesforce.

·Ensuring that optimal coding standards are adhered to throughout project delivery.

·Participating in program code reviews.

·Developing user documentation.

Qualifications

·A tertiary qualification in IT

·At least 3 years of experience of Salesforce Experience

·Knowledge of one or more Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud certifications, or similar Salesforce ecosystem certification

·Certified Salesforce Platform Developer, along with one or more Salesforce Certification such as Administrator/Advanced Administrator, App Builder

·Knowledge of Salesforce Best Practices using Apex and Visualforce

·Proven success in leading and contributing to a team-oriented environment

·Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment,

·Excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills,

·Drive to learn more and convey expertise to those around them
