Senior Electrical Engineer Water Technology Products

Royal HaskoningDHV is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Senior Electrical Engineer based in APAC with design and site experience in municipal waste water treatment plant to support our projects worldwide. What you do as a Senior Electrical Engineer Water Technology Products

As a senior electrical engineer, you are responsible for designing (preliminary and basic design) of electrical and process automation works for wastewater treatment plants and anaerobic sludge digestion plants that incorporate Royal HaskoningDHV’s proprietary technology. Design here includes instrument specification, electrical & ICT specification and process control narrative.

More specifically, responsibilities include the following:  

• to design electrical and process automation works related to municipal wastewater treatment plant or anaerobic sludge digestion plant
• to prepare process control narrative, on the basis of the process design results
• to prepare related instrument list including writing of general instrument specification, on the basis of the process design results
• to prepare related general electrical & ICT specification, on the basis of the process design results
• to review of detail design of electrical works and drawings done by external party
• to check supplier's offers for conformity with the specification requirement
• to support construction and installation completion check at site (when required)
• to work under the supervision of assigned technical lead/lead process engineer and/or project manager
• to contribute technical analyses to develop value engineering solutions
• to communicate with various internal clients and external stakeholders to deliver designs and documentation to clients
• to support proposal and/or project execution on multiple projects within APAC and globally

You will work at the Business Unit Water Technology Products (WTP) of the Business Line Water & Maritime which delivers wastewater technologies like Nereda®, Ephyra®, Helea, and Kaumera all over the world. The business unit started ten years ago with Nereda® technology, which is now used in more than 100 projects in 22 countries across 6 continents. With the ambitions of strong growth of our technology portfolio, we are looking for a senior electrical engineer to join our business unit.

We are a very international oriented business unit, with colleagues of more than 10 nationalities working in different countries around the world.

What you bring

• bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• minimum 15 years of municipal water/wastewater treatment plant experience, including site working experience
• experience in projects outside of home country will be a plus
• ability to work autonomously, with minimal supervision and guidance
• client-focused and good analytical skills and problem-solving skills
• core technical skills associated with water and wastewater treatment plant design in the role of a contractor (i.e D&B Contractor and/or process contractor) including electrical works and process control
• fluent in spoken and written English is a must
