Senior Property Engineer

The Senior Property Engineer will plan, organize, direct and control administrative and maintenance activities for all Vis-Min Insular Life-owned real properties and leased offices to ensure operational efficiency, optimal value and provide occupants with a safe and comfortable working environment.
Will supervise the construction and renovation of company buildings and offices based on company standards. Assist in the appraisal of properties for acquisition, mortgage, employee housing loan or disposal as part of the Company's investment activities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Ensures the safety, security and proper maintenance of Insular Life Cebu Business Centre. Represent the company in various functions at VisMin Areas i.e. Pollution Control Officer, Safety Officer, Energy Manager, Association Member, etc.
• Ensures the maintenance of all other Company-owned buildings/ properties in the Visayas and Mindanao area.
• Handles the proper documentation and execution of all equipment, pest control, hygiene, janitorial and security contracts in order to ensure their timely renewal and guarantee their proper compliance with government laws and ensures services are in conformance with IL guidelines and policies.
• Preparation and monitoring of the VisMin Properties’ Operating Expense Budget, Capital Expenditures Budget and other formal requests as may be required. Handles the implementation of major repair works and capital expenditure projects. Assist in the supervision of the renovation of company buildings and offices and ensures its conformity with approved plans. Assist in the construction of new buildings and renovation/reconfiguration of existing properties in VisMin Areas.
• As an accredited Energy Manager, perform all responsibilities and tasks specified and required by DOE in compliance to Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act, RA 11285 and its implementing rules and regulations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE:

• Must be a licensed Electrical/Mechanical Engineer.
• With a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Building Facilities Management/Supervisory level.
• Experience in Building Construction or Project Management.
• Proficient in oral and written communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
• With knowledge on Safety and Emergency preparedness, Building Codes and other standards.
• High sense of urgency and dependability, personal integrity and self-confidence.
• With excellent customer service orientation/skills.
• Willing to travel to provincial buildings and offices.
