As a  Shopdrawing Drafter , you will play a crucial role in the construction and design process. Your primary responsibility will be to create detailed technical drawings and shop drawings based on architectural and engineering plans. Specifically, for someone with elevator experience, you’ll focus on elevator-related drawings. Here are the key tasks and duties:

1. Collaboration : Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to understand project requirements and specifications.
2. Technical Drawings : Translate rough sketches, architectural plans, and engineering designs into precise, detailed shop drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
3. Elevator Expertise : Create shop drawings related to elevators, including layouts, dimensions, and installation details.
4. Materials and Specifications : Suggest appropriate materials for construction purposes, considering safety, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
5. Quality Assurance : Review and redraft sketches alongside the engineering team to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations and quality standards.
6. Documentation : Design manuals that showcase existing products’ specifications, features, and maintenance guidelines.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. Experience : Proven work experience as a drafter or in a similar role, with a focus on elevator-related projects.
2. CAD Proficiency : Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software, especially for creating technical drawings.
3. Math Skills : Good mathematical abilities to accurately calculate dimensions, weight limits, and material requirements.
