Apigee Developer

Responsibilities:

• Design, configuration and implementation of Apigee Edge suite of products
• Implements API management solutions using Apigee to include API proxies, security and analytics
• Interface with vendor and internal teams
• Design and develop REST APIs using API Management platform. Create REST API documentation
• Implement requirements of the API layer like security (OAUTH 2.0), custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response modifications
• Standardize the CI/CD setup for Apigee for automated deployment
• Create custom policies and/or transformations in Java, JavaScript, Python, etc. in the API management platform
• Implement API monitoring and system support for production application services client facing environments
• Ownership and responsible for End to End API delivery including design, development, testing and publishing
• Apply internal standards for re-use, architecture, and testing, general best practices and help enhance system capabilities and build robust, scalable systems
• Work with various teams for issue resolution, defect fixes and providing overall support for APIs in Apigee platform

Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience in development and testing of Apigee API proxies, security, analytics, shared-flows, custom policies in JavaScript, Java, Node JS etc.
• Knowledge about API design standards, patterns and best-practices (Swagger 2.0 and OpenAPI 3.0, REST, SOAP, MQ, JSON, OAuth 2.0, Microservices etc).
• Experience with Apigee SaaS platform
• Hands-on experience in Apigee API development, testing and support.
• Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies
• Willing to work on fulltime onsite
