Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• To review and monitor trade ‘exceptions’ and generate ad-hoc Confirmation Reporting
• To liaise with accounting centers to ensure effective trade flow.
• To provide timely information to stakeholders on failing trades and possible impacts to other processes.
• To investigate and resolve queries and issues internally and with 3rd parties in a professional manner.
• To identify errors or issues and to escalate so as to improve automated processing.
• To coach and train others so as to build skills.
• To review work to ensure done to standards of accuracy.
• To help in the continuous improvement of processes.
• To support other teams as required.
• To review and monitor ‘trade exceptions’, ensuring any issues are escalated
• To liaise directly with counterparties and custodians to ensure pre-settlement positioning
• To provide transactional reporting to internal stakeholders  
• Process any cash and securities postings within agreed timelines
• Acting on Client instruction and internal department templates following tight timelines
• Process postings arising from the daily Cash Breaks: clearing the daily reconciliation breaks
• Running reports and posting accordingly
• Follow daily checkpoints, timelines, and ensure escalation is followed when appropriate
• Spread a pro-active attitude towards change within the Team
• Remediation of breaches and errors, and management of Errors Fines and Losses events within agreed targets

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

• Operational, control and efficiency diligence and execution
• Delivery against all Key Performance Indicators and client timelines
• Attention To Detail
• Working knowledge of Equities, Fixed Income Markets, cash products and general trade lifecycle and market cut offs
• Concise communication skills and excellent phone manner
• Strong Microsoft Knowledge essential
• Ability to prioritize workload in accordance with trade/market volume
• Takes ownership and accountability to ensure service to our clients/brokers/internal hubs remains as per expectations
• Understanding of SWIFT messaging layout and fields that require specific Standard Settlement Instructions information
