Job Description - Head of Project Services

Head of Project Services | APAC South

Department: Project Services

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: Manila

Reporting To: Mark Alvarez

Description

The role is responsible for the successful delivery of research support and project implementation services in the region assigned, acting as the final escalation point for project services. The Head of Project Services contributes to the regional and operational strategy, working closely with the Head of Operations APAC.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Strategy Execution :

· Contribute to global operations strategy, design, and optimize project services strategy for the region.

· Build relationships with the Head of Operations and collaborate with Client Teams as needed.

· Work with capability leaders to implement global practices and processes for efficiency and quality.

Managing Delivery Performance :

· Monitor and manage operational performance against targets using dashboards and regular meetings. Targets include resource utilization, quality, retention, turn-around time, etc.

· Identify and act on improvement opportunities in project service delivery related to teams, people, and processes. Design and follow action plans, support in tactical delivery performance, and act as an escalation point when needed.

Coaching Project Service Team Leads :

· Ensure team leads understand regional delivery goals and strategies. Manage teams through changes, maintain knowledge of operational requirements for successful delivery, and engage with senior leaders of the project service teams for collaboration and coaching.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

· A business literate : demonstrate a strong understanding of financial performance (team & project perspective), dashboards with performance metrics help to identify and monitor corrective actions.

· Has an operational mind : process-driven, can simplify complex problems and are able to unravel end-to-end processes. Structured in thinking and focused on follow-up.

· A delivery inspirator : act from experience, not from theory. Can challenge teams positively, and when needed can lead by doing not by telling. Dare to put the bar high. Has a good understanding of (market research or marketing) consultancy and understand how people.

· A people person : has strong listening and coaching skills; an excellent communicator and have strong management skills. Collaborative, trust and empower, but can challenge when needed. A great team player and love to collaborate on global projects and learn from others. Qualification & Educational Requirements:
· A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business Administration/ Management or equivalent, a master’s degree ideal

· Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a (n operational) manager preferably in a global / regional context.
