A Young Sherlock

Our junior quality assurance engineer is keen-eyed to spot inaccuracies from a bird's-eye perspective and then swoops down fast to unravel them before the problem realises. You are very hands-on in testing and methodical problem solving regarding the business’ products.

You’re never complacent with scrutinising everything as quality is something that should be checked continuously throughout the process, not just at the end.

You actively take part in the discovery and design phases of new product feature development and promote continuous testing in an attempt to guarantee an error-free final product.

You act as the glue that holds the engineering and product teams together, collaboratively working together throughout the life cycle of our products.

As someone who has years of experience, you will be working to set scalable strategies in the team and create an environment for QA engineers to thrive.

You Will…

• Be embedded with multiple teams: you will work closely with product managers, designers and software engineers, to ensure that we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users.

• You are meticulous in your work, and passionate about testing. You consider every possible scenario during exploratory testing and can spot bugs that others might not notice.

• A puzzle solver: you are a problem solver who is passionate about solving different types of bugs. You are comfortable with using various tools to find out the root causes of issues and have worked with Jira (or other bug reporting tools) to communicate bugs effectively with engineers, PMs, and designers.

• The knack to learn new: tech progress is what keeps QA testing exciting. And it means a non-stop education for you to keep up with the latest QA strategies, programming languages, testing methods and tools.

• Can handle sudden changes: there will be plans that undergo constant modifications that you must be able to adapt to, adjust to the changes in the workflow, and remain resistant to stressful situations.

• Time management and prioritisation: you understand what needs to be done now and what can be delayed. Finding the balance between importance and urgency, according to deadlines and goals, is a key part in praciticing an effective test strategy.

• Effective teamwork: Working with other QA Engineers to improve the QA activities across the business, and identifying opportunities to improve manual testing efficiency and effectiveness.

• With a passion and intrigue for test case design and automation opportunities: While developing key manual test cases to tactically cover functional and non-functional requirements, you are also encouraged to contribute to the improvements to our automation test coverage whenever feasible.

Our Work Setup

• Shift options: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM; 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM

• Hybrid schedule with an office in Ayala, Makati

You Should Have…

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.

• A hands-on QA background with ideally 1 to 3 years in manual testing.

• An experience with agile development styles and finding scalable solutions to fit into team processes.

• A focus on continuous QA improvements, including the usage of appropriate testing tools and test techniques.

• Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure the QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.

• Attention to detail ensures all your tasks are completed to the business’ specifications. It prevents tasks from needing to be redone or revised to meet requirements later.

• Problem-solving skills help you find solutions if you are struggling to meet the required quality standards. A combination of creativity, logic, and critical thinking can serve you well when challenges arise in your duties.

Bonus Points

• Experience in using Robot Framework or Selenium

• Experience working with engineers, and have a decent understanding of web tech stacks (backend, frontend, and everything in between).

• Previous experience in a startup environment.

• Experience working with a remote team.

• Experience working in the legal services industry.
