Buyer (Responsible Sourcing)

The Buyer for Responsible Sourcing will lead and drive performance (internal and external), and measure impact, in partnership with the Global Procurement and Sustainability teams. He/she will act as a subject matter expert in Sustainability and the vision of JFCs evolving Responsible Sourcing journey.

Responsible Sourcing:

• Supplier management related to sustainability and responsible sourcing covering ALL suppliers global and local suppliers handled by GCM and CP.
• Includes, as well, frequent database maintenance for spend data of key categories (chicken, beef and eggs), release of surveys, completion and verification of documentation and certificates, completion of baselining activities and integration in Ivalua.
• Handles International Operations (IO) and internal stakeholder management & engagement related to sustainability and responsible sourcing.
• Work with the market teams (International Operations, CBTL, SF) to develop appropriate Responsible Sourcing plans for local delivery in alignment with the global strategy.
• Develop and maintain standards related to our supplier Code of Conduct (health and safety, environment, ethics, labor standards etc.)
• Develop and maintain standards related to categories of significance (poultry, beef, and eggs) and develop enterprise-wide goals that address topical issues such as animal welfare, antibiotics use, deforestation, waste etc.
• Manage the program and facilitate the implementation of tools to manage and monitor risk around Responsible Sourcing for the global supplier base, third-party suppliers, and internal factories.
• Ensure sourcing and supplier decisions are made with consideration of the Supplier Code of Conduct and all Responsible Sourcing standards.
• Facilitate supplier engagement activities that educate supply partners regarding Responsible Sourcing priorities to advance supplier performance, guaranteeing acceptable standards are being met.
• Support the Global Procurement and Sustainability team as it engages with the NGO sector on key issues relating to Responsible Sourcing
• Analyzes data related to responsible sourcing and provide recommendation on direction and/or commitment based on data analyzed.

Category Management:

• Database Management and Comprehensive Research on relevant Government regulations, Certifications, Movements, and/or Competitor check related to Responsible Sourcing.
• Project Management - works closely with GCM in defining activities/RACI to ensure successful implementation for new/ongoing projects related to department and GRS initiatives.
• Stakeholder Management - represents GCM in GRS alignment meetings including preparation of data/PPT.
• Supplier Engagement - drives the successful rollout of supplier engagement model with focus on responsible sourcing.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of Engineering, Finance, Economics, Sustainability, or any Business Courses.
• At least 1-3 years of relevant experience, but fresh graduates with very good scholastic records are encouraged to apply.
• Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain is an advantage.
• Current knowledge of leading Responsible Sourcing practices and issues is a must.
• Candidate must be willing to work in Ortigas, Pasig (hybrid set-up).
