PROJECT BACKGROUND:

EpiC is a multi-year global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The project provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, prevention, treatment programming and viral load (VL) suppression among key populations (KPs). In the Philippines, EpiC is into its fourth year of implementation. In Greater Metro Manila, EpiC is supporting 52 sites to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among KPs and strengthen capacity of local, community based KP organizations, and work closely with the government of the Philippines to deliver HIV services tailored to the needs of KPs. In addition to these activities, EpiC Philippines will focus on expanding HIV case-finding in the community, PrEP and treatment initiation, adherence, and retention support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) to reach undetectable equals untransmittable (U=U) status.

JOB SUMMARY :

The main objective of the position is to provide support in terms of efficient case management within an online community framework. This role requires adeptness documenting queries related to services. Another key aspect of the role involves meticulous data encoding, encompassing the accurate entry of cases for Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) purposes and facilitating easy reference and follow-up procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform data entry for community accomplishments for screening, PrEP and other related services provided into the nationally prescribed system and other related systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of entered data and ensures consistency and alignment with the existing data.
  • Assist in the review and verification of data generated ensuring that they are in line with the reporting requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of data in all transactions.
  • Conduct online community case management and respond and record queries on community concerns utilizing motivational interviewing skills.
  • Ensure communication with screening and PrEP providers to refer clients in a timely manner.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to data integrity, and the ability to work effectively within established confidentiality protocols.
  • Can work with required timeline.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work with others effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences and organizations.
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office software programs

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • At least Senior High School graduate, college undergraduate, vocational course, or any equivalent.
  • At least 6 months experience of on data entry, data management and/or social media monitoring, preferably in health or HIV-related information.
  • At least 6 months experience on community-based activities
  • High level of familiarity on community-based PrEP initiation and screening
  • Previous training on community-based screening, motivational interviewing and mobilization activities is an advantage.
