Job Purpose

Leads a team of HRBPs that provides human resource advisory and consultancy to business leaders with the aim of driving business success.

Specifically, the HRBP Head guides leaders and HRBPs in: doing organization design and workforce management; finding ways to fulfill key talent requirements; defining and conveying performance goals to senior talents; identifying critical positions and designing retention strategies; provides mentoring and coaching to leaders; drives change and culture management efforts; gives advice on compensation issues; drives the use of data insights for objective decision-making; and ensuring proper handling of HR governance and employee relations matters (including management of redundancies and involuntary exit decisions).

Major Accountabilities

WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT: Advise business leaders on implications of workforce supply and demand and ways to address workforce shortfalls or surpluses. Gives advise on how leaders can ensure maximum productivity level and operate effectively and efficiently.

TALENT ACQUISITION: Guides business leaders in developing hiring standards for sourcing candidates for leadership roles. Provide advise on how to position the organization as an Employer of Choice and attract top talents. Promote principles of fair and equitable employment selection practices to hiring managers and business leaders. Recommend shortlisted senior candidates to business leaders for offers of employment. Recommend onboarding strategies to business leaders to enhance retention of new hires.

TALENT MANAGEMENT: Partner with business leaders to identify and develop high-performing talent based on organization’s ideal talent profile and work with business leaders to assess succession plans. Coach business leaders to align career aspirations and job progressions of employees with the organization’s business strategy.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Partner with line managers to execute the performance management process. Advise business leaders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior roles and guide business leaders to relay key performance indicators (KPIs), performance goals and ratings to their employees.

TALENT DEVELOPMENT: Work with business leaders to focus on learning and development strategies that meet business requirements and develop capability needed for present and future business success.

COMPENSATION MANAGEMENT: Engage business leaders on compensation policies and programs.

ORGANIZATION DEVELOPMENT: Work with business leaders to align human resource (HR) strategies and plans with business strategy. Enable and advise senior stakeholders to redesign organization structure to deliver its vision and plans in an effective manner. Engage business leaders to establish business essentials for organizational development or change management initiatives.

HR GOVERNANCE AND LABOR RELATIONS: Design and implement appropriate policies and practices in employee relations consistent with labor regulations and regional and/or corporate guidelines, and responsive to business needs and strategy.

TEAM LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: Leads a team of HRBPs and ensure their development, growth, engagement, and performance delivery.

  • Can effectively set vision, strategy, execution plans, and development interventions to the rest of the HR Business Partners.
  • In-depth level of communication, collaboration, facilitation, influencing, consulting, and coaching skills.
  • Comfortable to operate in ambiguous situations. Highly adaptable. Bias for Action. Can effectively navigate under complex and challenging environment.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Ability to diagnose root causes and provide advice on solutions to complex problems in all areas covering the full employee life cycle.
  • Ability to apply in-depth understanding and experience to deliver a wide range of programs and activities in HR and ability to independently establish and implement policies /programs/practices in all facets of HR while linking those to the overall HR operational focus and business objectives.
  • Expert level on various sourcing techniques, selection and assessment tools, and behavior-based interview methodology
  • In-depth level of behavioral analysis skills; adult learning principles, elements of course design.
  • In-depth level of knowledge of employment-related regulations and compliance practices in specialist areas
  • Proficient level of knowledge of the latest development in specialist areas

Education and Experience

Education: Minimum: University degree, preferably, with emphasis in a relevant HR discipline

Desirable: Professional qualification in either generalist HR or Organization Development

Experience: 10 years HR experience, 5 to 6 years of which as HRBP of a medium to large organization
