Medical Technologist

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares samples of specimen for examination-hematological, serological, clinical microscopy, blood chemistry and special chemistry procedure.

• Performs and analyze the results of tests on blood and body fluids.

• Performs machine calibration prior to running of lab test.

• Interpret results of lab examination accurately.

• Do counter checking of all lab result performed and released by co-med tech staff.

• Manage inventory of lab stocks and supplies and request for replenishment.

• Maintain an updated documents of lab procedures and other documents as required.

• Implements infection control measures in the Laboratory Department.

• Coordinates with Pathologist for abnormal lab results.

• Secure right encoding/recording of lab results.

• Maintains updated documents of lab procedures and other documents as required.

• Gathers customer feedback and report result.

• Keeps all equipments clean, calibrated and in good operating condition.

• Performs other tasks and duties as may be assigned by the management.

Reports to Laboratory Manager and Quality Assurance Officer/Chief Medical Technologist

Coordinates with Other Medical Technologists, Analysts, Technical Staff and Support

Supervises: Laboratory Technician

QUALIFICATION(S):

Education:

• A BS in Medical Technologist Graduate in four (4) years course

• Licensed to practice in the Philippines

• With Leadership potentials and must be willing to handle responsibilities

Salary: From Php15,000.00 per month
