Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Engineer at Bizforce, you will play a key role in designing HVAC systems for a variety of multi-disciplinary projects, including but not limited to:
- Mission Critical
- Laboratories

- Utility Plant and campus distribution
- Corporate Commercial
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing HVAC systems (airside, hydronic, steam) that meet engineering requirements
- Assuring complete documentation of engineering requirements
- Adhering to budgeted hours for the project
- Performing or overseeing load calculations
- Developing system applications, equipment sizing, and calculations
- Coordinating designs with architecture and other engineering disciplines
- Maintaining project files and calculations for assigned projects
- Ensuring quality and completeness of the engineering design
- Performing and/or supervising on-site condition surveys
- Assessing project staffing needs
- Monitoring conformance to project scope and documenting deviations
- Conducting energy modeling and preparing technical reports
- Participating in client meetings regarding engineering systems
- Mentoring staff and providing supervision to other engineering team members on a project

Requirements Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Registered Professional Engineer or the ability to sit for the exam within 12 months
- 7+ years of experience in building systems design
- Current knowledge of appropriate codes and technologies: ASHRAE, Title 24, IECC, IMC, UMC, IBC, UBC
- REVIT skills, building energy modeling experience, including familiarity with project management or related building sciences program, preferred
- Professional knowledge of a broad range of mechanical engineering concepts, principles, and practices, and familiarity with other engineering disciplines and architecture
