Role Overview

We are looking for a Loan Content Editor based in the Philippines to lead the editorial quality of our lending and personal finance content.

You will be responsible for editing, fact-checking, updating, and optimizing articles covering personal loans, salary loans, online lending apps, fintech products, financial literacy, and borrower education. The ideal candidate understands both content quality and search intent, ensuring every article is accurate, compliant, engaging, and useful for Filipino consumers.

This role sits at the intersection of finance, content strategy, SEO, and consumer trust.

Key Responsibilities

Editorial & Content Management

1. Edit and publish loan-related articles, lender reviews, comparison pages, and financial guides.
2. Ensure all content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with Philippine lending regulations and consumer protection standards.
3. Maintain a consistent editorial voice across the website.
4. Improve readability and simplify complex financial topics for everyday borrowers.
5. Review content for factual accuracy, grammar, structure, and clarity.

Financial & Regulatory Accuracy

1. Verify lender information, loan terms, fees, eligibility requirements, and application processes.
2. Monitor updates from SEC-registered lenders, fintech companies, and relevant regulatory bodies.
3. Ensure content avoids misleading financial claims and follows responsible lending communication standards.
4. Identify outdated information and coordinate content updates.

SEO & Performance

1. Optimize content for organic search performance.
2. Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.
3. Improve content structure, internal linking, metadata, and user experience.
4. Collaborate with SEO and growth teams to identify content opportunities.

Content Strategy

1. Develop content briefs for writers.
2. Identify emerging trends in Philippine fintech, digital lending, personal finance, and consumer borrowing.
3. Expand borrower education content that supports financial literacy and responsible borrowing.
4. Support multilingual content initiatives, including English and Tagalog content where applicable.

Requirements

Essential

1. 3+ years of experience in content editing, journalism, publishing, SEO content, or financial content.
2. Strong written and spoken English.
3. Excellent editing and proofreading skills.
4. Understanding of Philippine personal finance, online lending, fintech, or banking products.
5. Experience using content management systems (WordPress preferred).
6. Familiarity with SEO best practices.
7. Strong research and fact-checking abilities.
8. High attention to detail and editorial standards.

Preferred

1. Experience working for a fintech, financial comparison site, lender, digital bank, or finance publisher.
2. Understanding of Philippine lending regulations and consumer finance practices.
3. Familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows.
4. Ability to review Tagalog content.
5. Knowledge of E-E-A-T principles and finance content quality standards.
