We’re looking for a  Purchasing Officer who will work with an international market-leading supplier of fasteners, anchors, adhesives and trade supplies for the manufacturing, building & construction industry.

OVERVIEW

• Employment Type: Full-time
  
• Schedule: Day shift
  
• Work setup: Full-time onsite, St. Francis Square, Mandaluyong City.
  

What will I do every day?

• Procure materials and components for customer orders and stock, ensuring the supply of materials causes no delays.
  
• Ensure procured materials and components meet specifications, standards and delivery timeframes
  

Primary Tasks include:

• Stock Management
  
• Manage stock of materials and components, including ordering, forecasting, maintaining records
  
• Collaborate with Operations Manager to determine the optimum stock levels/orders
  
• Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency strategies for all key materials and components
  
• Diversify supplier network to ensure availability of materials/capacity at all times
  

Supplier Relationships, Negotiation and Risk Management

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships
  
• Negotiate cost, service, stock levels and payment terms in the best interest of the company
  
• Actively seek cost savings for all materials and components without impacting service or quality
  

Secondary Tasks include:

• ERP System implementation and continuous improvement processes
  
• Attend and contribute to individual and team meetings consistently
  
• demonstrate leadership qualities and our ideology
  
• Assemble test certification using a PDF editor and supplier datasheets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering preferred or equivalent.
  
• At least 5 years supply chain experience and previous stock control management.
  
• Experience with SAP ERP systems and/or other purchase order processing systems.
  
• Knowledge of Microsoft products is essential.
  
• Display a strong sales-minded attitude as well as excellent leadership skills. You should also have the ability to develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with customers and third-party vendors.
  
• Ability to communicate clearly with all staff in a proficient friendly manner and resolve their requests and concerns.
