Job Description

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate in BS Marketing or Hotel and Restaurant Management.
• At least with two (2) year experience in Marketing and/or Hotel Management.
• At least 1-2 years progressive work experience in hotel/ events sales/food & beverage/front office or any industry related to customer service is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent sales presentation and negotiation skills
• Proficient in basic computer programs needed in hotel operations, i.e. MS Applications and hotel sales systems such as Opera and a Sales and Catering System (Delphi or Opera)
• Adaptable and flexible to different situations with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the selling activities of resort facilities, working closely with the Hotel Services, Food and Beverage, and other revenue-generating departments to maximize sales/events revenue and ensure profitability through the activities of the department.
• Ensures professional sales calls, an average of 6-8 quality calls a day based on defined call objectives
• Maintains detailed knowledge of resort facilities, products, and services
• To conduct extensive competitor researches and constantly monitor competitor hotels’ sales initiatives and recommend initiatives to Senior Managers / DOSM
• To implement an effective target selection process and develop appropriate and effective sales solicitation strategies to increase the hotel’s market share
• Business Development - Identify new business opportunities through telemarketing activities, market research, and implementing sales
• To entertain target and potential clients based on business priorities.
• To ensure a high level of exposure for the resort through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, and written communication.
• To make sure all sales proposals, presentation materials, and other sales communications are in line and updated in terms of information.
• Implement agreed sales action plans as outlined in the Personal Business Plan
• Achieves the monthly and annual personal sales target
