Job Description - Vendor Business Development Executive

Job Summary

As a Business Development Executive, you are responsible for generating and acquiring new leads on vendors to be onboarded with SmartBite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring and generating prospective vendor leads
  • Expands current vendor selection and secures new brand selection
  • Creating and building a strong network among food, beverage, and gifting community
  • Maintain constant communication with potential vendors by setting meetings and sending follow-up emails to ensure successful onboarding
  • Ensure that vendors are properly oriented on the merchant agreement terms and processes
  • Forecast volume and number of new vendors required to meet business objectives
  • Manage a pipeline of quality vendors to onboard the platform
  • Develop and implement various strategic plans in the acquisition of vendors to fuel aggressive partnership growth.
  • Respond to market needs (e.g., cuisines, certifications) to ensure supply on the platform (vendors) meets demand of Clients
  • Educate the vendors on the benefits they may get once they onboard as SmartBite's partner vendor.
  • Ensure that onboarding vendors have signed the contract and completed the requirements before endorsing to respective Vendor Managers.
  • Negotiate commercially competitive, yet favorable contract terms with vendors

Education: No requirements

Experience: Proven performance through internship(s)

Training: MS Excel/Google Sheets and CRM System literacy

Skills: Excellent hospitality and people relation skills; highly organized and keen to details; Possesses logical thinking with strong analytical skills; Effective negotiation and communication skills; Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; Has the initiative to improve and develop oneself.
