Job Description - Application Support Analyst

Application Support Analyst is responsible for the analysis of data/systems, researching alternatives, identifying potential solutions, defining test criteria, performing system tests, implementing changes, and monitoring post implementation performance. They must have the ability to translate data into actionable information and help translate complex workflows into application functions. The Application Support Analyst uses application and technical knowledge to provide solutions to problems and make enhancements to application systems in support of business and clinical processes.

Employment Qualifications:

  • Required Minimum Education: 4 years Bachelor's degree in IT or various area/expertise in Healthcare
  • Licensure/Certification Preferred: Dependent on Business/Clinical area of expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years: Successful analytical experience within a complex healthcare environment .
  • 3-7 years: Demonstrated IT success within field of expertise.
  • Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Organizational, Verbal, Interpersonal, Customer relations, Mathematical, Analytical, Grammar/Spelling, Read/Comprehend Written, Follow Verbal Instruction, High Level Computer Skills, Microsoft Suite Applications
  • Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Additional technical or application skills commensurate with experience.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide support for systems, processes, and customers and responds in a timely manner to incidents.
  • Assists with the implementation of clinical and business solutions.
  • Analyze information required to make clinical and business decisions. Translate data into meaningful information.
  • Coordinate resource and project activities.
  • On-going research of solutions and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other team members, customers and management.
  • Demonstrates technical proficiency within assigned clinical and business function.
  • Prioritize tasks and resources to meet organization and department goals
  • Proficient in the applications/tools used within the department for Project Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Time Reporting, Communications, and other tools as provided.
  • Leads conference calls, meetings, and on-line meetings to facilitate issue resolution and project coordination.
  • Handles customer questions and concerns, communicates well with customers, handles service problems politely and efficiently and assists with service recovery.
  • Seeks out educational opportunities to enhance skill set and opportunities for self and career development.

This position has transitioned to a hybrid setup (3days onsite) on a 24/7 shifting schedule. Benefits offered (to name a few) are the following;
