Role Overview:

The Healthcare Billing Specialist is responsible for the comprehensive management and billing of multiple Tax Identification Numbers (TINs), ensuring the setup and optimization of portal and vendor services. This role is pivotal in maintaining efficient billing operations and requires a detailed understanding of coding automation and claim denial processes.

• Manage and bill for multiple TINs using sophisticated portal and vendor services, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all accounts. (US-based)
• Develop and maintain procedures for the automated correction and resubmission of denied claims, maximizing reimbursement.
• Utilize Looker and other dashboard tools to create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to billing and coding efficiency.
• Review and analyze medical documentation to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10 and CPT coding systems.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of all medical claims to insurance companies.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Work closely with the Director of Revenue Operations to align regional billing practices with overall strategic goals.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in US medical billing, with at least 3 years specifically billing for multiple TINs, preferably worked for billing agencies and managed accounts with at least 2+ years experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding (ICD-10, CPT), and billing processes.
• Proven proficiency in using advanced US billing systems and software, including familiarity with Looker or similar dashboard tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and coding guidelines, with a commitment to staying updated on changes in the field.

$7 - $18 an hour

Salary based on entry level to senior management experience.
