Job Overview

As Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging learning experiences. You will work closely with subject matter experts to identify learning needs, develop learning objectives, and create high-quality training materials.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify knowledge and performance gaps, target audience characteristics, and desired learning outcomes.

• Develop comprehensive instructional design plans aligned with learning objectives, utilizing adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, Gagne's Nine Events).

• Create measurable learning objectives to guide content development.

• Produce engaging learning content such as e-learning modules, lesson plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, videos, simulations, and assessments.

• Select and integrate appropriate multimedia elements (e.g., video, audio, graphics, animations) to enhance learner engagement.

• Adapt content to accommodate various learning styles effectively.

• Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to pilot learning solutions, gather feedback, and refine designs and measure the effectiveness of training programs using relevant evaluation methods.

• Effectively manage instructional design projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and communicating progress to stakeholders.

• Stay updated of the latest instructional design trends, learning technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in learning solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field.

• Master's degree preferred.

• 5-10 years of experience in instructional design, development, and leadership.

• A strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles is necessary.

• Proficiency in authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

• Experience with Intellum and Evolve are a big plus.

• Experience with video and audio editing tools is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.
