Your responsibilities will include securing approvals, particularly for ultrasound, heart angiogram, and other procedures, by directly contacting the commercial insurance carriers. Employment Type: Full-time 

Schedule: Night Shift, 8am-5pm US Central Time (Mon - Fri 08:30 PM to 05:30 AM)

Work Arrangement: Permanent WFH

Vital Abilities for Thriving in Healthcare:

  • Mid-level experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and other healthcare software
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities

Your Role: Navigating Healthcare with Precision

Primary Responsibility:

  • Handle pre-certifications, making regular calls to commercial insurance companies for approvals/denials.
  • Obtain approvals mainly for ultrasound, heart angiogram, and other procedures by contacting the commercial insurance carrier.
  • Encode data on insurance carriers such as Blue Cross, Blue Shield, United Health Care for approvals and denials.
  • Gather additional information from patients to assist in getting approvals for denials.

Secondary Responsibility:

  • Schedule procedures in the hospital, including heart angiograms or peripheral angiograms.
  • Act as a liaison between doctors and hospitals.
  • Ensure procedures are pre-certified before scheduling.
