Job Description - Quality Assurance Manager

About the department
The Quality Assurance function at Novo Nordisk Philippines is devoted to ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in our products and processes. We work closely with other departments to establish and maintain Quality Management Systems, manage non-conformities and recalls, and coordinate audits and inspections. Our team is committed to upholding regulatory requirements and continuously improving our quality standards to deliver safe and effective healthcare solutions to patients.

 

The position
As the Quality Assurance Manager at Novo Nordisk, your primary responsibility is to ensure the quality and compliance of our products and processes. Your role involves:

  • Establishing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) standards, including training new employees, collaborating with departments to improve QMS, and advising on QMS compliance.
  • Managing non-conformities, deviations, and potential recalls, serving as the local expert on deviation handling systems and overseeing recall procedures.
  • Overseeing product handling processes, including evaluation of products with temperature deviations, authorization of product destruction or returns, and approval of repackaging plans and documentation.
  • Coordinating audits and inspections, acting as the main quality representative during internal audits, updating inspection registers, and conducting audits for external vendors.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining quality agreements with vendors, managing document control, and monitoring and approving the implementation of relevant laws and regulations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors of pharmacy degree and is a licensed pharmacist 
  • 5-7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with specialization in quality assurance, control, systems, and audits.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, treating them as partners and establishing shared goals for enhanced cross-collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a patient-centric approach by understanding and incorporating their needs and perspectives into decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional growth through continuous learning, curiosity, and open-mindedness, seeking inspiration from various sources.
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on quality, ethics, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, while ensuring adherence to established procedures and standards.
