Senior Technical Support Engineer (Instrumentation and Control)

By joining us as a Senior Engineer I, Technical Support , you will support Measurement Solutions' customers who transact through the web-based/digital channels of Emerson globally. You will answer chat inquiries, quote online on any operating unit around the world, handle Tier 1 technical questions, and prepare Wake Frequency calculations.

In this capacity, you will evaluate customer requirements and recommend non-standard technical workarounds based on customer description datasheets. This gives you a very vital role in helping drive growth platforms and support operational pillars while striving for long-term value creation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To review configuration datasheets and validate with customer requirements.
  • To perform automated sizing for the selection of the proper unit.
  • To enter quote details, recommended product model codes, and miscellaneous items (documents and services) in the system.
  • To assess customer commercial requests or requirements and apply them to the proposal if possible (terms and conditions, delivery method, etc.).
  • To coordinate with the supplier, factory, or other to acquire/identify the specific lead time of a product not readily available on the system (might be a custom item with no standard lead time).
  • To respond, log, and monitor MSOL customer chats and e-mails (general, commercial, and technical inquiries) in our current and future business systems (OSvC incidents, CRMoD leads, opportunities, SRs).
  • To validate the model number in the business system/tool, code requirements, special requirements, and assembly codes.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related courses.
  • Relevant experience in chat support, ISE MSOL Quotations, Wake Frequency Calculation, Specialty temperature products quotations, BA MSOL Order Management, or Documentation Management.
  • Profound knowledge of Measurement products and applications, Analytical products and applications, or Flow products and applications.
  • Specific knowledge of Oracle CRM or Global Quote Form.
