Meet the team:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Applications Support Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, support, and optimization of our organization's application systems. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of critical business applications.

Where you come in:

Team Leadership:

  • You will lead and manage a team of application support specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.

  • You will foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to achieving departmental goals and objectives.

Application Support:

  • You oversee the day-to-day support activities for all enterprise applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving user inquiries, and ensuring timely incident resolution.

  • You will implement best practices for application support processes, including incident management, problem resolution, and change management.

System Maintenance and Optimization:

  • You will collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for system improvements, enhancements, and optimizations.

  • You will develop and implement strategies to ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of application systems.

Vendor Management:

  • You will manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, including software vendors and support contractors.

  • You will coordinate vendor support activities, track service level agreements (SLAs), and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.

User Training and Documentation:

  • You will develop and deliver training programs and materials to educate users on application functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.

  • You maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • You implement and monitor application performance metrics, identify trends, and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime and maximize system reliability.

  • You will generate regular reports on application support activities, performance metrics, and user satisfaction levels for management review.

People Management:

  • You will manage direct reports’ career and performance assessments and improvements.

What makes you successful: :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.

  • Your proven experience in a leadership role within application support or IT operations.

  • Your strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.

  • Your in-depth knowledge of enterprise applications, including troubleshooting methodologies, incident management processes, and change management practices.

  • Your experience working with third-party vendors and service providers, with a focus on vendor management and contract negotiation.

  • Your excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Your ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
