Chief Engineer

Responsibilities:

• To assume full responsibilities and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Villa Engineering.
• Formulates, plans, and implements the blue print of the general direction of the operation of the villas.
• Manages engineering staff under his responsibility for performance, equality of workmanship and attendance at work.
• Prepares weekly work schedules in accordance with workload and priorities.
• Monitors attendance at work, cleanliness and uniforms of all maintenance staff and job performances.
• Performs at least twice weekly, a routine inspection of all engineering operational area (plant rooms).
• Controls and verifies all engineering logbook entries.
• Manages personally all hazardous work and ensure that all safety regulations are being strictly observed.
• Checks timely completion of maintenance requests paying particular attention to villa guest / villa owners related jobs.
• Reports to the RM/GM any abnormal conditions noticed at anytime with life safety, related equipment or installation in the Villas.
• Monitors implementation of all energy conservation procedures and report any irregularities and non-compliance to the RM/GM.
• Prepares monthly utility consumption reports and keeps constant survey of correct calibration of all utility recording instruments.
• Be familiar with the villa’s layout plan to appreciate and solves possible problem that may arise during the development of operation of villas.
• Makes frequent visits to the site to ensure that the operation requirements are met.
• Ensures that all equipment installation and fittings will be accessible and cost effective in terms of maintenance and replacement of spares.
• Submits recommendations for the improvement of the facilities.
• Be a willing team worker at all times. Accepts and performs special assignments within or outside her Department as requested by his Immediate Head.
• Keeps abreast of all company policies, code of conduct by reading and understanding all guidelines issued pertaining to such matters; and performing such duties and functions as specified in the guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from a reputable university.
• Registered Civil Engineer.
• Must have 5 years experience in Hotel operations and relevant engineering field.
• Professional and Diplomatic.
• Well organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks.
• Team player
• Service-oriented
• Deadline-oriented
• Must be willing to be based in Palawan.
