Job Description - Deputy Manager

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations with the general manager to guarantee the resort runs smoothly.
  • Able to oversee channels for online travel agencies and make use of cloudbeds for effective financial tracking and channel management
  • Utilize Excel for bookkeeping and send management, accountants, and auditors financial reports.
  • .Oversee and provide guidance to the team members working on-site, such as the maintenance, housekeeping, security, and food and beverage personnel.
  • Create an environment that consistently exceeds guest expectations and complies with all relevant regulations.
  • With professionalism and tact, respond to questions from visitors, suppliers, and government representatives.
  • Ensure the safety of employees and guests by implementing proper emergency and security protocols.
  • Respond to guest complaints quickly and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Handle registration and check-in procedures with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Work together with marketing firms to advertise the resort across a range of media.
  • Provide updates via WhatsApp, in-person meetings, and video calls to management on a regular basis.
    Requirements:
  • Capable speaking English fluently/ German speaking is an advantage. 
  • 2 or more years' experience in a comparable managerial position in the hotel sector/ industry
  • strong understanding of finances, particularly reporting and bookkeeping. 
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of online travel agency channels and Cloudbeds is beneficial.
  • Understanding of local regulations and compliance standards.
