Financial Controller

Based in Philippines - Executive Office (E. Mercado & F. Calderon St., Kalayaan Avenue, Barangay Poblacion, Makati City 1210, Philippines) Job Description / Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, and tax data. The candidate will also be the point of contact for banks, auditors, and tax authorities. Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day company accounts
• Assist with financial planning
• Oversees financial management, regulatory and financial reporting, including corporate accounting, budget and forecasts preparation, report variances, investments, risk management, and cash flow analysis, among other financial aspects of the hotel.
• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Supervise accounting, finance, collections, billing, and payroll.
• Preparation of tax returns, financial statements, profit and loss statements, and compliance reports for the hotel.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.

Responsible for current accounting standards, government regulatory requirements, and sometimes the audits that are necessary to ensure compliance.

• Assist the accounting with financial information and forms for tax compliance needs.
• Review and recommend for annual budgets and projections.
• Closely scrutinize funds transfer and cash disbursement protocols within the organization.
• Set or revise organizational policy when necessary and/or development of internal control policies and procedures.
• Monitor performance of accounting & finance employees and recommend action to human resources department when necessary.
• Maintain external relationships with banking and insurance executives outside of the organization
• Ensure government compliance in all tasks.
• Recommends approval of procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; preferably a Certified Public Accountant and/or with relevant master’s degree.
• Proven working experience as a Controller.
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Applicants must be willing to work onsite in Makati City.
• Required language: English.
