A General Manager with a background in managing an indoor golf facility combined with a wine and cigar bar would hold a multifaceted position. This role would blend hospitality, retail, and recreational management, requiring a broad set of skills to ensure the success of both the golf and lounge aspects of the business. Job Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the indoor golf facility and the wine and cigar bar. Ensure all areas are running smoothly, efficiently, and profitably. This includes facility maintenance, staff management, inventory control, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, financial planning, and cost control measures for both the golf and lounge areas. Analyze financial reports to identify areas for growth and improvement. Ensure pricing of services and products delivers profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Staff Leadership and Development: Hire, train, and manage staff across both sectors of the business. Develop training programs that enhance staff knowledge about golf services, as well as wine and cigar offerings. Foster a culture of teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Establish and maintain high standards of customer service to enhance client satisfaction. Address customer complaints and feedback promptly and effectively, ensuring a superior guest experience.
  • Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the golf and lounge services. Organize promotional events, tournaments, or tasting events to attract and retain customers. Work with marketing professionals to enhance the visibility and reputation of both facilities.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and management of golf equipment, wine, and cigars. Ensure the selection is diverse, high-quality, and meets the expectations of clientele. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate the best prices and products.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with local, state, and federal laws regarding alcohol and tobacco sales, as well as general business operations. Implement health and safety protocols particularly relevant to the handling and consumption of alcohol and tobacco.
  • Facility Management: Maintain the indoor golf facility equipment and technology, ensuring that simulators and other golf-related technology are up-to-date and functioning properly. Oversee the ambiance and physical condition of the wine and cigar bar to create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Event Management: Plan and oversee events such as wine tastings, cigar appreciation nights, private parties, or corporate golf events. Ensure events are executed flawlessly, enhancing customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Quality Control: Regularly review and enhance the quality of all services and products offered. This includes the golf playing experience, wine and cigar selection, and overall customer service.
  • Strategic Planning: Work with senior management to develop strategies that drive business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver a competitive advantage in the market.

Job Requirements:

-Proven experience as a General Manager in hospitality, retail, or recreational sports.
-Knowledge of golf, wine, and cigars is highly preferred.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams.
