Job Description - Haad Chef Asian Cuisine

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a hospitality and casual dining brands company. The Head Chef Asian Cuisine will oversee the culinary operations, menu development, and kitchen staff management must have extensive experience in RD and knowledge of Asian culinary traditions, flavours, and techniques. The role is onsite in Makati and will be reporting to the company President. Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a diverse and authentic Asian menu.
  • Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, from food preparation to staff management, ensuring that the restaurant consistently delivers high-quality, flavourful dishes that reflect the traditions and cultural nuances of Asian cuisine.
  • Create, design, and continuously update the restaurant's Asian cuisine menu. Develop and introduce new dishes while maintaining traditional favourites.
  • Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared according to established recipes, maintaining the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Responsible for sourcing and selecting the freshest and highest-quality ingredients for Asian dishes, including spices, herbs, and unique regional ingredients.
  • Lead and manage the kitchen staffs.
  • Maintain strict quality control measures to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation. Conduct regular tastings and evaluations of dishes.
  • Stay updated on Asian culinary trends, ingredients, and cultural traditions to maintain the authenticity of the cuisine.
Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Asian cuisines in leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Hotel Management or Equivalent.
  • Proven experience in IT leadership roles, with a track record of successfully implementing IT strategies.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in a similar kitchen setting.
  • A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Exceptional cooking skills and the ability to create innovative and authentic Asian dishes.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, preparation techniques, and culinary trends.

  • A commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and a passion for Asian cuisine.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
