Job Description - Compliance Officer

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to :)

  • Assist Senior Compliance Officer with administration and review of compliance obligations and risk management frameworks

  • Assist with the review of all product disclosure statements, product related material and marketing materials for all Australian timeshare schemes (“Club”) including liaising with Creative Services, Sales and Procurement to have the material made available to job owners and sales sites within specific timeframes

  • Maintain register of financial advisers across all Clubs including rehire and compliance history checks

  • Assist with the preparation of any ongoing compliance training and liaison with human resources if required

  • Assist with the monitoring, managing and reporting of incidents and breaches and maintaining all Privacy, Australian financial services licence and Australian credit licence regulatory registers and assist with assessment and reporting to regulators as required

  • Assist with quarterly compliance reporting to compliance committees and assistance with all compliance and financial audits undertaken by internal and external auditors on an annual or adhoc basis

  • Assist with the update of all Club governing documents as required including Guidelines & Regulations, Constitutions and ongoing disclosure to ensure appropriate disclosure to Club members including each Club website

  • Assist with administrative company secretarial duties in all companies across the South Pacific including maintaining Travel + Leisure Inc. databases and maintenance of all business name registrations

  • Assist with miscellaneous compliance projects including annual review of various compliance programs and policies including AML/CTF, AML/CFT, Privacy and ACL annual compliance certificate

  • Assist with miscellaneous legal tasks from time to time (including title registration and any intercompany transactions)

  • Maintain register of Club property and conduct monthly reviews of property reports received from the Custodians and assist with custodian liaison

  • Ensure that all reasonable directions given with regards to health and safety are followed, to not wilfully place at risk the health and safety of yourself or any person in the workplace and to not wilfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety.

  • Display a Count On Me! service to all internal and external parties.

  • Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility and delivering on the promise

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Previous work experience in a similar role specifically within the financial or legal industries an advantage

  • Legal or audit experience and qualifications would be ideal.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and MS Outlook

  • Excellent attention to detail with the proven ability to proof read documents and identify discrepancies in material

  • Knowledge of relevant law, regulations and policies or the ability to learn and apply these

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills and confidence to communicate and advise all levels of the business up to and including the Executive team

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Flexibility to take into account other’s perspectives and apply previous experience to new ideas
