Job Description - Global Compensation & Benefits Manager

MAIN SCOPE & PURPOSE:

The Global Compensation & Benefits Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our compensation, and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role will require a strategic thinker with strong, analytical skills and a deep understanding of compensation and benefits best practices within the hospitality industry.

For the department to be known for its knowledge, development, support, and engagement by building strong relationships of leadership internally and with suppliers by ensuring Mad Monkey's core values --- Curiosity, Positivity, Courage, Sincerity, and Family Spirit, have visibility within the business.

Compensation Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive compensation strategy that aligns with the business sector.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure the company's compensation packages remain competitive.

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and administration of the team benefits, program, including health, maternity, paternity, family leaves and wellness activities etc.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to the existing benefits plans and enhance team members, satisfaction and well-being.

Job Evaluation and Salary Structures

  • Manage the team member performance process.
  • Maintain a fair and transparent salary structure.
  • Ensure the organizational chart and salary banding software are always up to date and pull reports accordingly.
  • Ensure equity in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations such as minimum wage.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze compensation and benefits data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports as directed for management and leadership teams.
  • Review exit interview data to spot trends and issues raised regarding compensation and benefits.

Legal Compliance

  • Stay up-to-date with labor laws and regulations relating to compensation benefits.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with local laws and mad monkey global policy.
  • Ensure that there are proper measures in place to prevent team member issued assets-Laptops and Ipads etc from being stolen, removed, not returned or unaccounted for between departments.

Team Member

  • Communicate compensation and benefits information to all team members clearly and effectively.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members with benefit related enquiries.

Team Management

  • Provides dynamic consistent leadership to the Comps and Bens team, developing a strong team culture in line with company values and ethos, which supports high levels of delivery, effective communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Coach and support team in the delivery of departmental standards, which achieve and exceed company benchmark expectations and Internal and external standards.
  • Ensure highly effective recruitment and selection, and team member recognition and retention processes are in place to support high performance across the department.
  • Ensure that the Standard Operating Practices and company standards are communicated to team members through regular training sessions and audits.
  • Attend, develop or facilitate department training sessions and/or meetings as required ensuring you are fully responsible for the training of all team members within the department.
  • Fully support company training initiatives.
  • Conduct appraisals, create personal development plans and support the development of team members at all levels, encourage succession planning and identify team members with potential for promotion and/or transfer and make appropriate development plans together with the Operations and HR team.
  • Be fully conversant with the Mad Monkey team member Handbook and ensure all departments within the division are familiar with the Handbook and best practice is adopted at all times. Encourage, foster and manage highly effective team member relations.

Health and Safety

  • Proactively support the Company’s health and safety agenda.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities as required by the company Health and Safety Policy, monitor compliance with procedural requirements.
  • To be aware of and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety policy as applicable to your place of work, including awareness of any specific hazards in your Workplace.
  • Ensuring the wearing of appropriate protective clothing provided by or recommended by the Company will be obligatory and ensure this is applied across all departments where applicable.
  • Report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to hostel procedures.
  • Ensure that any accidents to team members, customers or visitors are reported immediately in accordance with correct procedures and ensure awareness of these procedures across the division.
  • Attend Statutory Fire and any relevant Health and Safety training, be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning Fire and Health and Safety. Be vigilant in ensuring this is managed effectively across the operation.
  • To be fully conversant with all Risk Assessments for your departments, COSHH Regulations, Fire and Bomb Procedures and ensure the team are up to date and proactively manage their responsibilities in these areas.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting or a related fieldcourage
  • With at least 3-4 years experience as a Compensation and Benefits Manager
  • With hands-on experience with HRIS or payroll software
  • With in-depth understanding of all relevant legislation
  • With experience in the service/hospitality industry is advantageous
  • Can thrive under pressure in complex environments, managing multiple priorities across projects and business lines effectively
  • Must have an exceptional communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively at executive levels
  • Must be analytically inclined and detail-oriented
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion
  • Must be able to work independently and perform well under minimal supervision
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
