Job Description - HR Specialist

Consulting & Generalist HR (Human Resources & Recruitment)

The HR Specialist will provide support in the areas of employee relations, recruitment, training and HR communication processes.

Job Responsibilities Employee Relations

  • Supports in monitoring and ensuring employee discipline is in place at all times.
  • Provides counsel and guidance to employees and management regarding HR policies and practices.
  • Adheres to compliance with agreed-upon timelines for the commencement of Due Process and Closure of Cases.
  • Ensures consistent implementation of Due Process when disciplining employees.
  • Attends and administers case investigations and final administrative hearings; represents the organization in any court hearing pertaining to labor cases as and when needed.
  • Monitors and keeps oneself abreast of updates on labor laws, jurisprudence, and the like.
  • Professionally handles sensitive and confidential information on a daily basis.

Employee Grievance Handling:

  • Serves as the point of contact with employees for HR concerns and provides proper support as needed.
  • Conducts exit interviews and submits reports and recommendations.
  • Conducts periodic discussions with employees and reports results to the HR manager. Alternatively, attends to individual employee concerns/grievances and elevates them to the HR Manager or Operations Manager as needed.

Recruitment

  • Manages sourcing and pre-screening of candidates, aligned with company qualifications and culture.
  • Handles sourcing and marketing activities to drive increase of applications.
  • Performs scheduling, follow ups, and other administrative parts of the entire hiring process.
  • Maintains accurate and updated records as well as processing all necessary paperwork for new hires.

Training

  • Collaborates with department heads and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop training programs tailored to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conducts training sessions, workshops, and seminars on various topics such as HR policies, soft skills development, and other job-specific training initiatives to ensure employee development and continuous learning.
  • Designs and implements methods to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, gathers feedback from participants, and analyzes training metrics to measure the impact on employee performance and organizational outcomes.
  • Handles overall Success Factors LMS back-end system.
  • Stays informed about emerging trends, best practices, and innovations in training and development, and incorporates relevant advancements into training strategies to enhance effectiveness and relevance.

As part of the local HR Manila team, the successful candidate may be asked to support on other facets of HR as needed.
