Job Description - Human Resources Business Partner

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. The HRBP will serve as a trusted advisor to both management and employees, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to drive organizational success. This role requires a combination of HR expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to partner with various departments effectively and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will play a key role in implementing HR strategies, fostering a positive work culture, and enhancing employee engagement and performance.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret awards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  2. Draft and complete employment contracts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
  3. Develop tailored policies and procedures in accordance with Australian legislation and industry best practices.
  4. Create customized employee handbooks to meet the specific needs of clients.
  5. Conduct payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  6. Draft position descriptions to reflect job duties accurately and requirements.
  7. Handle complaints from employees, resolving issues in a timely and fair manner.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards (NES).
  9. Draft confidential letters related to termination, redundancy, and end of probation periods.
  10. Develop training materials to support employee development initiatives.
  11. Create PowerPoint presentations for training sessions and workshops.
  12. Prepare fact sheets to communicate key information and updates on legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with an Australian company in HR, demonstrating familiarity with local regulations and practices.
  • Ideally, possess a degree in Human Resources or a related field, providing a solid foundation in HR principles and practices.
  • Ability to interpret legislation, particularly Australian employment laws such as the Fair Work Act, to ensure compliance.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software.
  • Strong research skills to gather and analyze information effectively, staying updated on industry trends and best practices in HR.
