Responsibilities:
• Analysis of business key performance data: Use statistical techniques such as regression, cohort, propensity, and cluster analyses to identify opportunities for additional sales and to improve business decision making.
• Forecasting analysis: Support the development of better tools & techniques for making more predictable sales forecasting possible.
• Support the quotas and commissions process: Based on past data, provide a better means of setting quotas for the sales teams.
• Ad-hoc reporting support: There will be many times where a different type of reporting is needed. This position will support the needs of the Analytics team.
• Maintain functional understanding of Vertiv's technologies, solutions, and capabilities.
• Develop a detailed understanding of the data structure and data flows within Vertiv, the opportunities to use the data and the limitations of what it can do.
• Build in-depth understanding of the key Vertiv resources and decision makers of various business functions and disciplines.
• Develop fundamental understanding of Vertiv's served markets, our go-to-market business models, and competitor's strengths and weaknesses.
• Ensure that customer/market data demand is appropriately captured in the Vertiv CRM tools.
Requirements:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Science, Business Management, Computer Science, or related majors
• With 3 years relevant experience in data analytics
• Proficient in statistical techniques, machine learning algorithms (prediction, forecasting, clustering), and analyzing large datasets using R/Python.
• Ability to create compelling reports and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of sales processes and forecasting analysis.
• Good to have experience in setting sales quotas based on historical data.
• Familiarity with IT systems, data structure, and flows.
• Good to have Knowledge of served markets and competitor landscape.
• Ability to solve complex business problems using data-driven approaches.Mandatory Technical experience:
• Statistical techniques and languages (SAS, SPSS, Posit or similar)
• Languages: SQL Server, Python/R
• Hands on Experience with deploying Machine Learning Algorithms for Prediction, Clustering and Forecasting models to production.
• Has experience with demand forecasting is a plus
